Multiple face swap: putting several people into one video
How to swap two, three or four people into a duet, couple or group trend, how the model decides who goes where, and how to avoid the wrong face on the wrong person.
Couple trends, best-friend duets and group dances are some of the most-copied formats on TikTok, and they are the ones a single-face swap cannot do. A multiple face swap replaces each person in the clip with a different photo.
How the model decides who is who
This is the part most tools gloss over. Some let you click on each face in a frame and assign a photo. Others, including the model vtrends uses, assign by prominence: the first photo goes to the most prominent person, the second to the next, and so on.
“Most prominent” usually means the person who is largest in frame, most central, or on screen longest. In a couple video where one person leads the dance, that is easy. In a group of four standing in a line at the same size, the order is a guess.
Choosing a clip that works
- Everyone visible. Each person’s face should be clear for most of the clip.
- People don’t cross. When two people swap sides or pass in front of each other, models can swap the identities too.
- An obvious lead. A clip with one main performer and a partner maps more reliably than a symmetrical line-up.
- Two is easier than four. Each extra person is another chance for an error. Start with duets.

Doing it on vtrends
- Pick the clip from the trends gallery or paste a public link.
- Main face. Your photo, for the most prominent person.
- Other people. Up to three more face photos, most prominent first.
- Outfits and locations (optional). Up to three of each. The first outfit is used first, and the next ones at each outfit change; locations work the same way at scene changes.
You can add up to eight photos in total. The render takes about 10 to 15 minutes and keeps the original sound.
Ask everyone first
Every face in the video should belong to someone who agreed to it. It is easy to forget with friends, and awkward when the video is already posted. Our terms require it.

Questions
Can I choose exactly which person gets which face?
On vtrends, faces are assigned by prominence rather than by clicking. Put the face for the main performer first. Clips with an obvious lead map most reliably.
How many faces can I swap at once?
vtrends takes your face plus up to three others, so four people in one clip.
Is there a free multiple face swap?
Some photo tools swap several faces in a still image for free. For video, multiple-person swaps are expensive to run and are rarely free beyond a trial.
